1-night Accommodation in Cairo
In the early morning, our representative from your hotel in Luxor, and then transferred to Luxor International Airport to take your flight to Cairo where you will be met by our representative who will introduce you to your tour guide, then, you will be transferred to discover The Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus. Then proceed to visit the Great Sphinx which is a mythical creature with the head of a human and the body of a lion., which dates from the time of Chephren; the tour also includes a visit to the Valley Temple, which belongs to the Pyramids of Chephren.
Proceed to have your lunch at a local restaurant in Cairo. Then you will move on to relish a trip to the Egyptian Museum which features artifacts from the Pharaonic period. The museum displays a rare collection of 5000 years of art which is considered the largest most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world. Over 250,000 genuine artifacts are presented, including an exhibit dedicated to Tutankhamen collection of treasure, gold, and jewelry which was enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years before it was discovered in 1920 when his tomb was excavated. Move onto Coptic Cairo for a background about the Christian and Jewish heritage through the Hanging Church and Ben Ezra Synagogue. Our representative will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo, and then you will be transferred to enjoy an amazing day trip to Alexandria. First, visit Pompey’s Pillar. It was constructed in honor of Emperor Diocletian at the end of the 4th century. Originally from the temple of the Serapis, it was once a magnificent structure rivaling the Soma and the Caesarean. Then, visit the Catacombs which is the largest Roman Cemetery consisting of three levels cut in the rock. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Alexandria, and then proceed to see the Qaitbay Citadel which was built on the site of the ancient pharaohs (lighthouse) of Alexandria then to the Great Library of Alexandria. Finally, you will be driven back to Cairo airport to take your flight back to Luxor and then be transferred to your hotel in Luxor.
